Job summary

NoctrixHealth in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Clinical Research Engineer to bridge engineering and clinical science, developing software and firmware, analyzing physiological data, and supporting verification and validation of wearable medical devices.

You will collaborate with Clinical Research, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product teams, reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer, contributing to next-generation wearable therapies with a data-driven approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of industry experience, or Master’s with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with medical devices, wearable health tech, or regulated products.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and algorithm development.
• Experience with Design Control environments and regulated product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based tools, analysis pipelines, and automation frameworks for research efficiency and data quality.
• Analyze clinical, physiological, and device datasets to identify trends and generate insights.
• Perform physiological signal processing and interpretation of biosensor data.
• Develop and execute verification and validation protocols for software, firmware, and device systems.
• Contribute to firmware development for embedded systems in NoctrixHealth devices.
• Support device characterization, testing, and root cause investigations.
• Prepare technical documentation including protocols, reports, and specifications.
• Collaborate with Clinical Research, Engineering, QA, Regulatory, Product teams to advance solutions.
