Job summary

Noctrix Health seeks a Clinical Research Engineer to advance research, development, testing, and data analysis for wearable medical devices in a fast-paced environment.

You will develop Python-based tools and workflows, analyze clinical and device datasets, and contribute to verification, validation, and regulatory documentation. The role reports to the Chief Scientific Officer and is based in Pleasanton, CA with a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of industry experience or MS with 3+ years.
  • Experience with medical devices or wearable health tech in regulated environment.
  • Experience across software, data analysis, testing, and embedded systems.
  • Hands-on verification and validation testing in a regulated product development environment.
  • Strong Python, data analysis, and signal processing proficiency.
  • Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Python-based tools, algorithms, analysis pipelines, and automation frameworks.
  • Analyze clinical, physiological, and device datasets to identify trends and insights.
  • Perform physiological signal processing and waveform analysis.
  • Develop and execute verification and validation protocols for software, firmware, algorithms, and medical device systems.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Research, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Product teams to define requirements and test plans.
  • Prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with Quality System and regulatory requirements.
  • Support algorithm and machine learning model development and testing.
  • Assist clinical studies with data collection and analysis.
