Job summary

Truist Wealth is seeking a Senior Transformation Manager reporting to the Strategic Initiatives Director to lead a team delivering multiple projects or a program for key strategic initiatives in Wealth. The role partners with Wealth Senior Leadership to ensure execution with standard project protocols in prioritization, planning, and business readiness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent education and related training
  • Ten years of experience in the financial services industry or consulting; five years of managing high-performing teams
  • Track record of successfully managing large projects and programs with internal leadership and external consultants
  • Experience overseeing multiple business and technology programs using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to lead executive-level meetings and analyze problems to devise solutions
  • High business acumen; balance program delivery with budgets
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project and Visio
  • Willingness to travel as needed, occasionally overnight

  • Direct Transformation Managers and Business Analysts to deliver project management and communications
  • Coordinate with Risk partners for project review and risk mitigation

Senior leadership role reporting to the Strategic Initiatives Director, the Sr Transformation Manager is responsible for leading a team to deliver multiple projects or a program for key strategic initiatives in Truist Wealth through close partnership with Wealth Senior Leadership.
The Manager will ensure the team is executing the projects/programs with standard project protocols including prioritization, planning, business readiness, and execution activities to ensure that Wealth cross functional project teams support attainment of Wealth’s business and financial goals.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Lead the planning, implementation, business readiness, and execution of projects/programs to achieve Wealth’s key initiatives. (Ex: Transformational changes, technology innovations, and efficiency improvements)
  • Lead the team of Transformation Managers and Business Analysts to ensure their ability to effectively deliver project management, business readiness, client and teammate communications, and leadership.
  • Engage with Risk partners to ensure project review, oversight, and mitigation in accordance with enterprise risk appetite
  • Collaborate with all working lines of business (LOBs) in the Wealth.
  • Contribute to short and long-term project prioritization and planning in the Wealth Division and assist in attaining Wealth’s established business and financial goals.
  • Represent Wealth, as needed, on Truist enterprise-wide strategic projects. Establish and maintain a network of industry peers to stay abreast of current business and industry initiatives.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent, with a strong focus on diversity, and mentor successors for key leadership positions and for opportunities across Truist.
  • Promote a cohesive, inclusive, team-oriented culture aligned with the Truist purpose, mission, and values

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, or equivalent education and related training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a business-related field Fifteen years of experience in the financial services industry or consulting
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Wealth Management experience or knowledge
  • Sound working knowledge of holistic banking/investment platforms, products, services, operations, finance and systems
