Job summary

Johnson Financial Group invites high-potential students to join its Wealth Rotational Summer Internship 2027 in Wisconsin. Over 11 weeks, interns rotate through Wealth Advisory, Portfolio Strategy, and Client Experience, gaining hands-on exposure to client needs, investment concepts, and service delivery in a supportive mentor-led environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on exposure across Wealth Advisory, Portfolio Strategy, and Client Experience through structured rotations.
  • Shadow advisory activities, assist with client meetings and financial plans, and support the consultative sales process.
  • Collaborate with trading and portfolio teams to understand investment strategies and asset allocation.

During our 11-week rotational internship, you'll work closely with our Wealth team to gain a well-rounded, hands-on understanding of the key pillars that drive success in the Wealth line of business. Through structured rotations, you'll develop the foundational knowledge and practical skills that will prepare you for entry-level opportunities in wealth management .

Our goal is to provide you with an immersive learning experience that not only deepens your understanding of financial services but also helps you discover where your interests and strengths align within the Wealth organization.

You'll gain experience in the areas of:

  • WEALTH ADVISORY: Learn how our advisory teams identify client needs, communicate complex financial solutions, and drive growth through trust-based relationships. You may shadow client meetings, assist with proposal development and financial plans, and explore the consultative sales process.
  • PORTFOLIO STRATEGY: Partner with the Wealth trading, investment analyst and portfolio management teams to gain insight into investment strategies, asset allocation, and portfolio construction.
  • CLIENT EXPERIENCE: Understand the critical infrastructure behind our Wealth business. You'll work with internal teams that oversee the Wealth client service delivery model and support advisor success-whether it's onboarding clients, streamlining workflows, or leveraging technology to enhance the client experience.

Our program also allows interns to experience the history of JFG and its surrounding communities.

Beyond your day-to-day Wealth experience, you'll have opportunities to connect, give back, and be part of memorable moments throughout the summer, including:

  • Connecting with our Executive Team during orientation and continuing to build relationships with leaders throughout the summer.
  • Giving back alongside fellow interns and associates through a community volunteer event at the Hunger Task Force.
  • Taking part in the Light the Hoan Internship Challenge , a collaborative project that brings interns together and highlights the true power of teamwork .
  • Enjoying additional networking, learning, and community-focused experiences designed to make your summer meaningful and fun.
