CMC Recruiting's client, a boutique wealth management firm in Massachusetts, seeks a Financial Planning Analyst to build and refine comprehensive plans, model complex scenarios, and translate financial information into actionable recommendations for advisors and clients.

Working with the Director of Planning and advisors, you will address retirement and tax strategies, employer benefits, and executive compensation while developing technical planning expertise.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or related advisory environment
  • Life & Health Insurance license required

  • Strong understanding of financial planning concepts and strategies
  • Experience building, updating, or analyzing comprehensive financial plans
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Our client is a dynamic, boutique wealth management firm that helps clients navigate their financial lives through comprehensive planning, thoughtful advice, and long-term relationships. The firm provides holistic wealth management, investment advisory services, retirement planning, education funding strategies, and risk management.

They are adding a Financial Planning Analyst to join their growing planning team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys the technical and analytical side of financial planning and wants to deepen their expertise in a collaborative wealth management environment. Working closely with the Director of Planning and the firm's advisors, the Financial Planning Analyst will build, update, and refine comprehensive financial plans, model complex planning scenarios, and translate financial information into clear and actionable recommendations.

  • Prepare clear, organized planning outputs, visuals, and summaries that advisors can confidently present to clients
  • Translate complex financial strategies into understandable recommendations and actionable next steps
  • Prepare cases in advance of client meetings and ensure advisors have the necessary planning materials
  • Manage multiple planning cases and deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Track planning requests and proactively communicate the status of outstanding cases
  • Collaborate with Advisors, Portfolio Managers, Operations, and other members of the planning team to ensure seamless client execution
  • Continue developing expertise in corporate benefits, executive compensation, pensions, 401(k) plans, tax strategies, and other advanced financial planning topics
  • Stay current on financial planning strategies, industry changes, and relevant employer benefit programs

Qualifications:

Success in this position means producing accurate, high-quality financial plans on time, anticipating planning needs, and providing advisors with clear analysis they can confidently use in client conversations.

As the Analyst develops, they will become a go-to technical planning resource with deeper expertise in areas such as executive compensation, employer benefits, retirement planning, and tax strategies.

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $80,000-$100,000, commensurate with experience
  • Bonus: Approximately 10% based on individual and firm performance
