Job summary

Tompkins Financial Advisors seeks a Director of Wealth Management Talent Acquisition & Development to lead talent strategy across the firm, attracting experienced wealth advisors and advisory teams. You will shape onboarding, integration, and development programs to accelerate productivity and growth.

Collaborating with executive leadership, you will drive retention, succession planning, and scalable talent processes across markets to support long-term expansion and organizational capability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in wealth management, talent acquisition or related discipline.
• Proven success recruiting experienced financial advisors or advisory teams.
• Strong knowledge of wealth management industry, RIAs, broker-dealers and recruiting practices.
• Ability to build relationships with senior-level professionals and executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute talent acquisition strategies for wealth advisors and advisory teams.
• Design onboarding programs and accelerate advisor integration across markets.
• Develop initiatives for advisor development, leadership, and retention.
• Identify and pursue advisor and team acquisition opportunities to grow the business.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align talent with strategic goals.
