Tompkins Financial Advisors is seeking a Director of Wealth Management Talent Acquisition & Development to lead strategic recruiting, onboarding, and advisor development across markets. You will partner with executive leadership to attract top wealth professionals and drive growth.

This role emphasizes scalable talent processes, cross-functional collaboration, and retention initiatives, with travel across the Tompkins footprint.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in wealth management or talent strategy.
• Proven success recruiting experienced financial advisors or revenue-producing professionals.
• Strong knowledge of the wealth management industry, including RIAs, broker-dealers, and competitive recruiting practices.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level professionals and executive stakeholders.
• Experience leading advisor onboarding, transition management, integration, or talent development initiatives preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute talent acquisition strategies focused on attracting experienced wealth advisors, business development professionals, and advisory teams.
• Develop and oversee standardized onboarding programs to promote a consistent experience across markets.
• Design advisor development programs focused on business development, client acquisition, and professional growth.
• Identify and facilitate advisor, team, and firm acquisition opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership to align talent initiatives with organizational goals.
• Drive scalable processes and continuous improvement across recruitment and onboarding.
