Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Baltimore is seeking a risk management professional to strengthen the control environment within Wealth Management. The role offers broad exposure across functions and requires coordinating NFRA activities with Business Risk, Operational Risk, and stakeholders to inform residual risk profiles.

The successful candidate will analyze NFRA data, support testing outcomes, and contribute to high-quality risk reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of risk management experience within financial services, preferably Operational Risk Management.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to build and maintain a network of contacts and coordinate with a large number of stakeholders.
• Solid interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize and work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills (critical thinking ability).
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating Non-Financial Risk Assessment (NFRA) activities across Wealth Management Business Units
• Work closely with Business Risk group partners to ensure timely, accurate reporting of operational risks to residual risk profiles
• Collaborate with Operational Risk partners to ensure data quality of risks and controls are updated per firm guidelines
• Assist with metrics and analysis for senior management to identify and track thematic operational risks
• Perform analysis of NFRA and related Operational Risk data for quality assurance and challenge the business on risk profiles
• Partner with our control testing team to feed testing outcomes into the risk profile
• Support ad-hoc projects delivering solutions and analyses on-time and to a high level of quality
