Job summary

Live Oak Bank is seeking an onsite intern for the 10-week Summer Internship program in Wilmington, NC (May 17 – July 23, 2027). You will assist Wealth Advisors and Client Relationship Managers with planning, client materials, performance reports, and research.

Preferred candidates are pursuing a degree with 2 years in Wealth Management or related fields and have a strong interest in wealth management, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree with 2 years of educational experience in Wealth Management, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong interest in the Wealth Management industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Wealth Advisors (WA) as well as Client Relationship Managers (CRM) with planning and advisory activities for clients. This consists of creating client and prospect presentation materials, running periodic reports of performance and allocations, researching earnings and analyst reports.
• Help facilitate account requests, calendar management, preparing for meetings and preparation of review material.
• Preparation of materials for potential new business opportunities.
• Prepare client correspondence and customized professional client presentation materials to support business development and marketing efforts.
• May assist with investment/wealth planning such as spreadsheet preparation and analysis.
• Assist the Chief Investments Officers to prepare the mid-year investment newsletter.
• Learn what goes into Full Balance Sheet Financial Plan.
• Understand how investment portfolios are created based on Goals Based Financial Plan.
• Present Financial Plan findings and recommendations to Relationship Management Team.
