Job summary

Corient in New York is seeking a motivated student for a summer internship focused on financial planning and client materials. You will assist with projections, statements, and budgets, supporting senior staff in client meetings.

The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and confidentiality, with exposure to estate planning, taxes, gifting, and financial topics. Office-based 5 days per week in NYC.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree and ideally will be a rising junior or senior come summer 2027.
• Demonstrates an extraordinary client service attitude.
• Team player who can assist, mentor, and inspire others.
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding client and firm matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for client presentations, such as financial projections, net worth statements, cash flow reports, budgets, insurance, and estate planning summaries.
• Review, summarize, and analyze information related to various financial aspects of a client's life, including risk management, retirement planning, benefits, taxes, estate plans, gifting, charitable endeavors, and education.
• Assist in preparing customized financial planning templates for client meetings.
• Research financial planning topics as needed.
• Manage client and firm documents in the document management system.
• Contribute to firm projects and departmental initiatives as requested.
• Represent Corient positively to clients, outside professionals, and the public.
