Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Wealth Management Analyst to support Financial Advisors and Private Wealth Advisors with client service, portfolio tools, and marketing efforts. The role requires licensing, strong MS Excel and MS Office skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will assist in meeting preparation, client reporting, and research across firm-approved platforms while collaborating with branch teams and Practice Strategy Consultants.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position.
  • Four-year college degree or professional certification preferred.
  • Active Series 7 (GS) and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) required.
  • Additional product licenses may be required.
  • Knowledge of financial services products and MS Office (including Excel) is important.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage for an FA/PWA/team and assist in delivering client service.
  • Prepare for meetings and track follow-ups with clients.
  • Back up routine client-service duties, including money movements and client education on digital tools.
  • Stay current on policies, procedures and platforms.
  • Assist with business planning and marketing initiatives with stakeholders.
  • Execute administrative elements of digital and in-person marketing (conferences, webinars, websites, social media, email).
  • Prepare/review client reports or financial plans using firm-approved systems.
  • Assist with research using firm-approved systems.
  • Participate in client meetings representing the service lens.
  • Engage in firm initiatives and special projects under local management.

POSITION SUMMARYWealth Management Analysts provide exceptional service to our clients and support Financial Advisor(s) (FAs)/ Private Wealth Advisor(s) (PWAs)/ teams on a daily basis. As a key member of the service team, in supporting Financial Advisor(s) (FAs)/ Private Wealth Advisor(s) (PWAs)/ teams, this role will focus on assisting in areas such as digital marketing, portfolio holdings and/or proposal tools, financial planning, reporting and analysis.DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Client Service :As a key member of the service team, provide coverage for an FA/PWA/team including:Assisting the FA/PWA/team in delivering against their client service model, including preparing for regular meetings and tracking follow-upsProviding backup coverage for traditional registered or unregistered Client Service Associate responsibilities at the request of the client and/or FA/PWA/team, such as executing money movement transactions, answering general non-investment related questions concerning client accounts, educating or enrolling clients in digital tools (e.g., MS Online), accepting or entering unsolicited orders and/or entering solicited orders in a clerical capacityRemaining current on all policies, procedures and new platformsBusiness Development Support:Assisting the FA/PWA/team in organizing around and executing against their business plan, partnering closely with other market stakeholders such as Practice Strategy Consultants and Branch ManagementAt the direction of FA/PWA/team, executing against all administrative elements of digital and in person marketing strategies including conferences and seminars or webinars, websites, social media and regular email connectivityAt the request of the client and/or FA/PWA/team, preparing and reviewing various client reports or financial plans from firm-approved systems for existing or prospective clientsAt the request of the client and/or FA/PWA/team, assisting with research using firm-approved systemsAt the request of FA/PWA/team, participating in existing client and/or prospective client meetings, representing the service lensParticipating in firm initiatives (e.g., training or education programs), special projects and/or other duties directed by local managementEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:Education and/or Experience2+ years of work experience in a field relevant to the position requiredFour-year college degree or professional certification preferredActive Series 7 (GS), and Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) requiredAdditional product licenses may be requiredKnowledge/SkillsKnowledge of financial services products, including but not limited to equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, annuities, insurance, and managed accountsTechnically proficient and quick learner of new and updated platformsDetail oriented with superior organizational skills and ability to prioritizeExpert knowledge of basic personal computer, MS Office (particularly MS Excel) and internet applicationsExceptional writing, interpersonal and client service skillsStrong time management skillsTeam player with the ability to collaborate with othersAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving environmentAdaptable and ability to multi-taskGoal oriented, self-motivated and results drivenReports to:Business Service OfficerWHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM MORGAN STANLEY:At Morgan Stanley, we raise, manage and allocate capital for our clients – helping them reach their goals.
