Job description

You've spent the last 3–7 years building wealth management expertise. You've seen what works and what doesn't. Now you want to own it.

We're looking for an experienced advisor who's ready to step into a leadership track at an independent RIA—where your reputation directly builds the business, not a regional office's bottom line. You'll work with a close team of seasoned advisors who actually remember their clients' names, their goals, and their families.

This role sits at the intersection of execution and strategic growth. You'll build comprehensive financial plans from scratch, lead client reviews that matter, and own the implementation from start to finish. You'll also identify succession opportunities within the book and mentor less-experienced team members as we scale.

What You'll Actually Do

  • Design and lead comprehensive financial plans and retirement income analyses—not template fills
  • Conduct quarterly and ad-hoc client reviews that drive real planning conversations
  • Own implementation of recommendations: from tax strategies to rebalancing to insurance coordination
  • Serve as the first call for clients on planning questions (the relationships that matter)
  • Spot proactive planning opportunities—and have the authority to act on them
  • Collaborate with Lead Advisors on complex cases and estate planning coordination
  • Partner with our operations team to ensure seamless client delivery

Who We're Looking For

Non-Negotiable

  • 3–7 years of hands-on wealth management or financial planning experience
  • Bachelor's degree (any field—we care about the work, not the major)
  • Ability to build trust and communicate complex ideas simply
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive

We're Particularly Interested If You Have

  • Deep experience in retirement income planning
  • Comfort with eMoney, RightCapital, or MoneyGuidePro
  • Background in an independent BD, RIA, Hybrid RIA or similar advisory culture

Why This Role Works

  • Salary: DOE + annual performance bonus (based on your background and results)
  • Safe Harbor 401(k) + profit sharing
  • Full professional development (CFP®, continuing ed, conferences)
  • Direct mentorship from advisors who've built multi-generational practices
  • Equity path if you want it—help build this firm, and you'll own part of it
  • The kind of workplace where you're trusted with autonomy and supported when it matters
