Job summary

Park National Corporation is seeking a Trust Officer to administer trust accounts including personal trusts, estates, custodial and retirement plans, and IRAs. This role ensures compliance with IRS and state Trust Code, audits, and risk policies while advising clients on financial products.

Responsibilities

  • Administer trust accounts including personal trusts, estates, custodial and retirement plans.
  • Identify opportunities to grow relationships and cross-sell bank services.
  • Ensure compliance with IRS Code, state Trust Code and audit requirements.
  • Collect and analyze customer information to advise on financial products.
  • Respond promptly to trust-related and banking issues.
  • Coordinate workflow, schedule projects, review client accounts.
  • Assist in developing internal training on trust products and services.
  • Identify, measure and mitigate departmental and enterprise risks.
  • Maintain awareness of compliance requirements and risk management concepts.
  • Deliver high-level service within the Serving More standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer assigned trust accounts including personal trusts and estates (with non-complex attributes), custodial and managing agency accounts, escrow accounts, IRA's, custodial depositories, retirement plans, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing relationships and develop new business including responsibility for cross‑selling other bank services
  • Ensure compliance with IRS Code, applicable state Trust Code, and audit requirements by adhering to all policies and procedures
  • Collect and analyze customer information to determine proper financial products and advise on advantages and disadvantages of different financial products
  • Respond in a timely manner to trust related and banking issues
  • Coordinate and organize workflow, establish project schedules, review client accounts, and determine timeline of special projects
  • Assist in facilitating (developing content, scheduling, etc.) internal education programs regarding trust product and services
  • Participate individually in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling and mitigating departmental and enterprise‑wide risks
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to Bank's compliance requirements and risk management concepts, expectations, policies and procedures and apply them to daily tasks
  • Deliver a consistent, high level of service within our Serving More standards
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION - CERTIFICATIONS - WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent combination of education and work experience required

2-4 years related work experience required

SCHEDULE

Typical office hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. This position is exempt and full‑time. A minimum 40 hours is required per week.

A flexible work arrangement may be available for this position. The position will require some scheduled onsite hours, candidate must live within 50 miles of Bucyrus, Galion, Marion or Mansfield. Please speak to the hiring manager for more information.
