Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field.
  • Active pursuit of FINRA Series 65; CFA or CFP certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct client portfolio review and analysis to support investment recommendations.
  • Review client accounts with Wealth Advisors to ensure allocations match requests.
  • Research and analyze global markets and asset classes to develop strategies.
  • Create and review financial plans in collaboration with Planning team.
  • Generate reports and provide analysis to support stakeholder decisions.
  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality.

Job description

The Wealth Analyst role consists of a two-year development program with primary responsibility in delivering investment management and financial planning services to our clients. This includes opportunities to work closely with each team in wealth management – Investments, Planning, Advisory and Operations. The successful team member will participate in extensive research, analysis and reporting to support the team in making accurate and reliable investment and financial planning recommendations.Success FactorsResponsibilitiesConduct client portfolio review and analysis to support investment recommendations and ensure assets are deployed according to the appropriate strategyReview client accounts alongside Wealth Advisors to ensure allocation matches requests, propose trades and track target allocationsConduct research and analysis on global financial markets, various asset classes and individual securities to assist in developing investment strategiesReview and create trade orders; execute trades in support of portfolio management and trading operationsWork closely with Planning team to create and review financial plans for delivery to clientsInteract with management, team members, and other departments to supply reporting and data for superior client servicesCreate historical reporting for data or activity related to Wealth Management team phone calls and other programs/initiativesGenerate reports and provide analysis to model scenarios to support internal and external stakeholders’ decision makingIdentify, automate, and communicate basic process improvements that increase efficiency and quality of serviceCarry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelinesDevelop short and long term goals with the ability to execute effectivelyActively listen to team members to understand their needs; respond to requests in a timely manner; provide appropriate resolution of conflictsMaintain confidentiality with external client information as well as internal employee and firm informationPeople Management/RelationshipsTake initiative to be a team player (seeks out opportunities to help others)Treat everyone with respectDevelop loyalty and trust with the teamSuccessfully adapt to different personalities and working stylesProactively and effectively communicate information regarding status issues to team membersHold self accountable for assigned work; seek continuous feedback to learn and develop in role; open to new ideas and suggestionsRequired SkillsStrong communication skills, written and verbal, to effectively interface with all levels of firm management and staff; ability to communicate issues and conclusionsAnalytical and data-driven individual with strong problem-solving skillsSolid project management skills including critical ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive and stressful environmentAbility to use sound judgement and discretion regarding confidential informationDrive to complete performance targets and track record of meeting/exceeding expectationsAbility to shift focus and adapt to changeEducation, Experience and CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management and/or related fieldActively pursuing license or registration: FINRA Series 65; or CFA; or CFP1+ year experience working in investment, data, or business analysisExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Experience using data management/analysis tools such as SQL or Excel preferredPrevious experience with various investment tools a plus (e.g. Bloomberg, Tamarac, etc)Ability to apply concepts such as probability, statistics, modeling, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutionsEssential FunctionsMust be able to remain in a stationary position as neededThe person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and at client offices to access file cabinets, office machinery etc.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printerAbility to communicate in a professional manner and exchange information with internal and external actors as neededAbility to lift/carry up to 20 poundsAbility to work outside of normal business hours and weekends as neededAbility to travel to local and non-local clients as needed, overnight travel may be requiredThis job description is subject to change at any time and employee will be given additional responsibilities as assignedSalary Range:$55,000 - $65,000
