DataAnnotation is seeking a Finance Expert to evaluate AI-built financial analyses, audit three-statement models, verify DCF assumptions, and explain the accounting behind them with precision for real corporate scenarios. You’ll trace the logic, surface plugged numbers and broken drivers, and write defensible analyses you’d present to a CFO.

This is flexible, remote, project-based work where compensation scales with task complexity and specialization, and where success means turning opaque

Competenze

• Professional experience in corporate finance, FP&A, or strategic finance.
• Fluency with modeling: three-statement, DCF, and the accounting behind them.

Models can build a three-statement model that looks clean and still get the mechanics wrong: a balance sheet that doesn't balance, working capital that flows the wrong way, a circular reference silently zeroed out. Someone has to trace the numbers back through the logic, and that someone is you.

As a Finance Expert you'll evaluate AI-built financial analyses on real corporate scenarios, check the valuation assumptions and the accounting behind them, and write the judgments that teach models what defensible finance work looks like.

• Trace the reasoning to expose plugged numbers, broken drivers, and conclusions the model's own math doesn't support.
• Write the defensible analysis when the model falls short: honest assumptions, clear drivers, and a number you'd put in front of a CFO.

Compensation

Up to $40 – $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k–$100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
