Role & responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, accessible web applications in compliance with WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure inclusive and accessible user interfaces.
- Utilize .NET C#, ASP.NET MVC (MVC5), and MS SQL to build scalable backend systems.
- Use front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Kendo UI, and ARIA to develop responsive and accessible interfaces.
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing using tools like Axe, Pa11y, Lighthouse, and assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers).
- Identify, prioritize, and fix accessibility issues across web applications.
- Integrate accessibility testing into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Develop RESTful APIs and collaborate on system integration using version control tools like TFS.
- Stay updated on web accessibility guidelines, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, QA engineers, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to accessibility awareness and training within the development team.
