WC Van Driver Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safely operate and maintain a wheelchair van in compliance with all laws while transporting patients.
  • Interact professionally with healthcare personnel and patients, including disabled, disadvantaged, sick, and injured persons.
  • Complete daily vehicle inspections and equipment checklists.
  • Clean vehicles inside and out, following disinfecting procedures.
  • Restock supplies such as lines, blankets, and other equipment.
  • Ensure the van is ready for each run by checking all equipment.
  • Maintain the van in efficient operating condition.
  • Collect payments and issue receipts when needed.
  • Secure all passengers according to company policies.
  • Safely load and unload passengers.
  • Complete all reports, letters, and documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate courteous, ethical behavior.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience for WC Van Driver:

  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • High School diploma or GED
  • At least 3 years of driving experience

  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle adverse situations effectively
Physical Demands
