Simply put, wherever you find small businesses, you’ll find NEXT.

Since 2016, we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of small business customers across the United States get fast, customized and affordable coverage. We’re backed by industry leaders in insurance and tech, and we still have room to grow — that’s where you come in.

We are seeking a bright, motivated, and detail-oriented individual to join our growing Reporting team. As a Reporting Specialist, you’ll collaborate with Insurance Product Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, External Consultants and Statistical Agents with the ultimate goal of building compliant and trustworthy data reporting systems. The ideal candidate has experience navigating the complex reporting requirements of Workers’ Compensation (WC) insurance. We are looking for someone who is excited to dive in and take the lead on all ongoing WC reporting such as WCPOLs and WCSTAT.

What You’ll Do:

  • Refine and manage end-to-end reporting processes for all Workers’ Compensation (WC) regulatory reports
  • Track, triage, and resolve all WC data requests and errors; identify and address root causes with internal and external partners
  • Research WC reporting compliance requirements and clearly communicate them to cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, insurance leads)
  • Serve as primary point of contact for external partners (e.g., third-party vendors, TPAs)
  • Support the certification and timely submission of WCPOLs, WCSTAT, Indemnity, and Medical Data Calls as we scale our carrier operations
  • Lead process improvement and automation initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce reporting risk

What We Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of Workers’ Compensation Reporting experience (WCPOLs, WCStat, etc.)
  • Experience with WCIO (Workers' Compensation Insurance Organizations) file formats is a plus
  • Knowledge of Excel, SQL coding, and Tableau or equivalent required
  • Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with engineers and key stakeholders
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines
