Job summary

Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is seeking an experienced bartender to deliver exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced, upscale setting in Tampa. You’ll craft cocktails, manage beverage service, and engage guests with knowledge of whiskey, beer, and wines.

The role requires 2+ years of upscale service, strong knowledge of cocktails, and the ability to handle high-volume shifts while maintaining sanitation and safety standards. E-Verify and equal opportunity employment are part of our process.

Qualifications

• 2 years of upscale service preferred.
• Craft cocktail & whiskey knowledge preferred.
• High volume service experience preferred.
• Must have a love for food and drinks, deep cocktails preferred.
• Stand for long periods and be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Properly use a knife and other equipment required to execute necessary tasks.
• Maintain a current Food Handler’s Certification and TABC Certification; follow sanitation procedures and regulations regarding alcohol sale and service.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work.
• Proper uniform should always be worn while in work areas.
• Assemble/dismantle the bar area according to proper procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the entire bar during shift.
• Prepare all drinks, garnishes, mixers, syrups, etc. according to the proper procedure & recipe.
• Assist guests with questions about the menu and continue studying to expand knowledge of liquor, beer, and wine.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Execute proper food delivery, placement, and removal at tables.
• Communicate questions or issues to management promptly.
• Collaborate with coworkers and management in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including disassembling, cleaning, and sanitizing workstations.
• Set up the team for the next shift’s success.
• Participate in continuing education courses available to you.
• Maintain beverage inventory at proper serving temperatures and restock the Service Bar.
• Assist in washing and restocking glassware for bar drinks and guest use.
