Description

Carroll Community College is seeking a part-time adjunct faculty member to teach the first year of our Plumbing Apprenticeship Program at the Westminster campus. The course emphasizes residential plumbing, following a structured curriculum delivered through a textbook. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, managing the learning environment, and supporting student success, in accordance with the College's policies.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum Requirements: Candidates must be licensed plumbers at the journeyman level; a Master Plumber license is preferred. Prior teaching experience is not required, but strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and a passion for mentoring aspiring trades professionals are essential.
  • Physical Demands: Light to medium physical effort, including lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally, and abilities such as communicating effectively, perceiving surroundings visually, focusing mentally, and moving around campus.
Work Environment

Campus setting with diverse students, staff, faculty, and the public. Normal safety precautions apply, including safe use of office equipment, computers, and adherence to safety regulations.
