Waynedale Elementary School in Fort Wayne, Indiana seeks a part-time teacher for Mild Mental Disability (.5) to provide instructional services to students and collaborate with the school team. The 0.5 contract covers 4 hours per day, with the possibility to combine two .5 positions for a 1.0 load.

Job Description

PURPOSE

Provide instructional services necessary to educate all students to high standards that align with district, state, and federal requirements, guidelines, and standards.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

• Work Schedule: School Year
• Work Hours:.5 contract 4 hours per day (can combine two .5 positions for a 1.0)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a valid Indiana teaching license for the assigned grade levels and/or subject areas OR be eligible to obtain an alternative teaching credential. REPA/REPA 3 Licensure Options:

• Exceptional Needs: Mild Intervention covering appropriate grades
• Indiana's Early Literacy Endorsement requires teachers who teach retained grade 3 students to hold or be working toward the Early Literacy Endorsement to align with the science of reading standards for the 26-27 school year. Please upload proof you meet this requirement as an attachment to your application. This includes any Grade 3, MLL, Interventionist or Special Education Teacher that may work with retained grade 3 students.

Must possess knowledge of effective practices, including principles, theories, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.
