Job summary

Precision Castparts is seeking a Process Control Engineer to drive manufacturing efficiency in the wax department of our plant in Groton, CT. You will apply engineering principles to improve safety, quality, and delivery while supporting production to reach business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or Manufacturing Technology is required or considered with experience.
• Knowledge of investment casting technology, processes and manufacturing methods is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Support production to achieve business goals, addressing quality issues with manufacturing personnel.
• Provide engineering leadership to maintain process control and improve quality.
• Research, select and implement solutions to problems using analytical engineering techniques.
• Collaborate with various levels of the organization including production employees, supervisors and subject matter experts.
• Track department metrics and develop plans to improve these metrics.
• Use statistical process control to monitor performance and react to out-of-control conditions.
• Run experiments to reduce process variability and manufacturing costs.
• Maintain process maps, PFMEA’s and control plans.
