Wax Assembler - Prior Experience Required (Albany, OR)

Primary Purpose:

Wax Assembly involves consistently and accurately cleaning wax molds in preparation for assembly. This position requires prior experience as a Wax Assembler.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Cleans and assembles wax patterns to specifications using various tools.
  • Visually inspects wax patterns for defects.
  • Accurately codes numbers on patterns for identification.
  • Recognizes and understands the causes of defects in wax patterns.
  • Meets and maintains quality requirements.
  • Maintains work station and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience as a Wax Assembler required.
  • Extensive repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and arms.
  • Ability to use small, fine tools.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Requires continuous mental and visual attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand measurements and read/use a ruler correctly.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be self-motivated.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Compliance with general company attendance standards.
  • HS diploma or equivalent GED required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Solid job history with more than 1 year at previous or recent employer.
  • Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check.
  • Willingness to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
  • U.S. person status required to comply with Arms Export Control and Export Administration Act.
Work Conditions:
  • Standing for approximately 80% of the shift; chairs available for use about 20% of the time.
  • Exposure to fumes from melting wax.
  • Performed in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment.
  • May be exposed to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, and chemicals.
  • Required to wear safety glasses during duties.
Flexible Schedule Options:
  • Day Shift (Monday-Thursday, 4x10)
  • Swing Shift (Monday-Thursday, 4x10) $1.00/hour Shift Differential
  • Weekend Day Shift (Friday-Sunday, 3x12) $1.25/hour Shift Differential
