Job description

Wax Assembler at PCC - Carson City

BUILD THE PATTERN - BEHIND THE PART

Before a precision aerospace casting becomes metal, it starts here.

As a Wax Assembler at PCC - Carson City, you'll work with detailed wax patterns that are assembled into molds used in our investment casting process. Using specialized hand tools and heated tools, you'll carefully prepare, assemble, repair, and inspect wax components that ultimately help create aerospace parts.

No wax assembly experience? That's okay! We'll train you!

If you enjoy working with your hands, have an eye for detail, and like the satisfaction of creating something precise, this could be a great fit.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Assemble wax patterns and components used to create precision aerospace castings.
  • Use heated tools and specialized hand tools to join, shape, smooth, and repair wax components.
  • Inspect your work to make sure patterns meet quality and workmanship standards.
  • Follow work instructions and established processes to build assemblies correctly.
  • Carefully handle and protect wax patterns throughout the assembly process.
  • Learn increasingly complex assembly and repair techniques as your skills develop.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Work with your team to meet daily production and quality goals.

YOU MIGHT BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU...

  • Enjoy detailed, hands-on work.
  • Have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Take pride in making things look right.
  • Are patient and comfortable working with small or intricate parts.
  • Can follow detailed instructions and established processes.
  • Are dependable and work well independently.
  • Want to learn a specialized manufacturing skill.
  • Have manufacturing or assembly experience - but it isn't required.

GROW YOUR SKILLS

Wax Assembly isn't just an entry-level production job.

As you develop your skills, you'll have opportunities to learn more advanced assembly techniques, complex wax repair, inspection, troubleshooting, and eventually training and mentoring others.

We'll provide the training. You bring the attention to detail and willingness to learn.

SCHEDULE: Swing Shift, 2:30pm - 11pm.
