Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. seeks an Estimator / Quotations Specialist for the Idaho Waterworks Team. You will develop quotations, coordinate with branches and vendors, and ensure timely, accurate pricing for waterworks projects.

Required: construction quotations experience, MS Office proficiency, and strong communication. Preferred: Planswift, waterworks product knowledge, and familiarity with Salesforce and blueprints.

Qualifications

• Construction-related quotations or estimating experience required.
• Experience with waterworks products highly preferred.
• Construction experience with water & sewer and storm drain materials preferred.
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment plants and pumps preferred.
• Prior use of Planswift or similar estimating software a plus.
• Familiarity with customer quotations software highly preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications required.
• Experience reading blueprints, building plans, or drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gather data for quotes, enter data, and contact vendors for quotes.
• Determine project scope, specifications, requirements, and perform calculations.
• Stay current on products, trends, and pricing.
• Follow up on quotes and coordinate pricing with vendors.
• Coordinate with vendors to receive pricing data promptly.
• Resolve pricing-related issues as they arise.
• Analyze specifications, sketches, BOMs, or layouts.
• Assess cost-effectiveness and track costs vs bids as projects develop.
• Send completed quotes to FEI sales rep or customer ahead of due date.
• Consult owners/contractors/subcontractors on changes to estimates.
• Maintain bid calendar and Salesforce updates, support project managers.
• Develop product knowledge and recommend solutions to fit client needs.
• Support project execution according to PM methodology and plan.
• Identify resources and build relationships with major accounts.
