Watershed Coordinator role in Bismarck, ND for NEW Solutions (ACES program) supports NRCS conservation efforts. Enrollees assist in watershed planning, EA/EIS development, and interdisciplinary coordination with biologists and soil scientists.

The position is non-federal, part-time (16 hrs/week), for individuals age 55+ under cooperative agreements with federal agencies. Minimum 15 years in conservation planning or a BA/BS in Natural Resources and Environmental Studies is required, with strong

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of 15 year(s) of experience in conservation planning or an equivalent BA/BS degree.
• Ability to develop watershed plans, environmental assessments (EA) and environmental impact statements (EIS).
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, and ArcGIS.

Aufgaben

• Coordinating watershed projects and plans.
• Sections of the Watershed Plan include affected environment, environmental consequences, consultation, coordination, and public participation, with multiple appendices.
• Coordinate with biologists, soil scientists, and cultural resource specialists; stay current on NEPA/NHPA/NWPM.
