Herrera Environmental Consultants Inc. seeks a Watershed Planning Engineer II/III to join a collaborative team of engineers, scientists, planners, and GIS analysts.

You will support planning of stormwater infrastructure, GSI, and urban watershed initiatives to improve water quality and resilience across communities in the Pacific Northwest. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or water resources engineering.
• 3 to 8 years of relevant stormwater and urban watershed planning experience.
• Experience with planning/design of GSI and stormwater infrastructure.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software (SWMM, MGSFlood, WWHM).
• Preparation of planning and design reports and technical memorandums.
• Experience coordinating with agencies, subconsultants, and partners.

Responsibilities

• Support planning of stormwater infrastructure from distributed GSI to centralized regional stormwater treatment.
• Support stormwater and urban watershed planning to improve water quality and ecosystem health.
• Support municipal stormwater program planning, including policy and NPDES permit compliance.
• Support climate vulnerability assessments and adaptation planning.
• Produce planning, conceptual design, and technical documents.
• Review documents, synthesize information, and communicate with internal and external team members.
• Support workshops, public meetings, and trainings with municipal staff and the public.
• Learn to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Bring your knowledge and inspire the team to improve outcomes.
