Waggoner Engineering, Inc. seeks a Watershed Engineer to support watershed planning, stormwater, drainage and water resources projects across the region.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 3 to 8 years of watershed engineering or water resources experience.
• EI certification with PE licensure in Mississippi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support watershed planning, stormwater, drainage, and water resources projects from concept through construction.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for watershed studies, drainage systems, and floodplain analysis.
• Prepare technical reports, drainage studies, calculations, exhibits and construction documents.
• Assist with watershed master planning, flood mitigation, and sediment control design.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients to deliver practical solutions on schedule and budget.
• Support permitting with FEMA, USACE, MDEQ, and state agencies.
• Participate in field investigations, data collection, and construction support.
• Utilize HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HY-8, GIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D for analyses.
• Contribute to proposals, client meetings, and cross-disciplinary coordination.
• Maintain quality, safety, teamwork and client service throughout delivery.
