Job summary

Blueprint Hires in Los Angeles seeks a Waterproofing Consultant to expand roofing and wall design engineering services and support construction defect litigation.

You will lead investigations, testing, and reporting on building envelopes, manage repair projects for multi-family and commercial properties, and assist litigation with a network of local attorneys and adjusters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, architecture, construction management or related discipline.
• Expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems; envelope leak investigations, field testing, reporting, and construction administration; PE or RA license preferred.
• Experience in repair and reconstruction, design and project management of multi-family and commercial/government buildings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in roofing, waterproofing, and building envelope systems for design, investigation, testing, and oversight of technical work.
• Perform field investigations and diagnostic testing for moisture intrusion and prepare detailed reports.
• Manage repair and reconstruction projects for apartments, condominiums, commercial and government buildings.
• Support litigation efforts through mediation, deposition, arbitration and trial with plaintiff-focused support.
