Job description

Summary of Position

The Waterpark Maintenance Pool Cleaner and Pressure Washer is an overnight position that is responsible for ensuring a safe and clean environment for guests. This role is responsible for pool brushing, skimming, vacuuming and pressure washing throughout the entire facility, ensuring safe standards that meet all required quality standards by both the manufacturer and the brand, resulting in maximum operating time and customer satisfaction.

Waterpark Maintenance Assistant Manager, Waterpark Maintenance Director

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to complete tasks simultaneously
  • Leadership, problem solving, organization and communication skills.
  • Problem solving, organization and communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of chemicals, tools, equipment, and supplies used in providing comprehensive building/water park maintenance services.
  • Ability to work varying schedules that include evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates.

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma/GED
  • Experience with aquatics/pool cleaning
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in general maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing, and/or aquatics maintenance

Duties and Responsibilities

· Performs waterpark in-water pool cleaning duties including but not limited to:

o Vacuuming pools and attractions

o Brushing sides of pools and attractions

o Skimming pools and attractions

  • Heavy duty pressure washing of all walls, floors, stairs, chairs, tables, restrooms, waterpark attractions and other applicable equipment.
  • Understand operating instructions, hazardous material warnings, and maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies such as Gas and/or Electric Power Washers, Floor Scrubbers, Mops/Buckets, Gas mask, Muriatic acid, and bleach.
  • Make sure that proper cleaning supplies are used when cleaning floors.
  • Ensures that the waterpark area floors are clean of dirt and grime and debris.

· Perform tasks efficiently and in compliance with all safety rules and regulations.

· Uses and reinforces safe chemical handling in addition to following and adhering to SDS practices and procedures as outlined by Showboat standards, OSHA, EPA, Green Seal, Federal, State, and Local laws.

Performs other related duties as assigned by the Waterpark Director.
