Job summary

McWilliams Forge in Rockaway, NJ is seeking a full-time waterjet machine operator. You will load and unload materials, program CNC cutting paths, adjust parameters, and monitor machine performance.

You will inspect finished parts with precision tools, perform test cuts, maintain and troubleshoot the waterjet, and follow safety guidelines. This role offers eligibility for a bonus plan and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC programming and operation.
• Knowledge of different materials and their cutting properties.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Machine operation: load/unload materials, program cutting paths, adjust pressure/speed/abrasive flow, monitor performance, start/stop machine.
• Quality control: inspect finished parts with precision tools, address quality issues, perform test cuts.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting: clean and lubricate the machine, inspect cutting heads/nozzles, report malfunctions, troubleshoot issues.
• Safety procedures: follow safety guidelines, wear PPE.
