Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS seeks a Waterfront Test Manager with a Secret clearance to join our Pearl Harbor team. The role requires 3+ years in HM&E maintenance, testing and repair on US Navy surface ships or submarines and will oversee test coordination for NSWC-PD programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating test procedures across shifts, interfacing with shipyard managers, and delivering weekly status reports while ensuring QA/QC compliance and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and in-depth naval shipboard maintenance knowledge, or trade/engineering school graduate with 19 years Navy surface ship experience and 3+ years HM&E maintenance.
• Active Secret Security Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Waterfront Test Manager / Test Coordinator support to NSWC-PD Department 20 Machinery Programs and Platforms for Surface Ships.
• Coordinate execution of NSWC-PD test procedures across varying shifts for personnel safety.
• Coordinate shipyard test support amongst NSWC-PD Codes.
• Interface with shipyard test management personnel.
• Provide weekly status reports per CDRL A001.
• Specialize in Quality Assurance / Quality Control.
• Provide daily support and interface of Shipboard Systems Safety Plans with LOTO, Shipboard Testing with WAF and eSOMS, QA issues, dashboard development and maintenance, data calls, and modernization-related travel.
