Job summary

PEAK Technical Services Inc. in Bellaire, TX is seeking a civil engineer to join our waterfront structures team.

You will collaborate with the engineering group to prepare design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for piers, wharves, bulkheads, marinas, vessel mooring, and berthing structures. This role includes inspections throughout the US and Caribbean, plus design checks and reports to support LEI quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• EIT registration required; PE preferred.
• US citizenship required for federal inspections.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related tools.
• Willingness to travel within the US and internationally.
• Strong math and analytical abilities; detail-oriented.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• Prepare design calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
• Participate in the inspection and rehabilitation of waterfront structures.
• Develop inspection reports as needed.
• Perform design checks as part of LEI quality metrics and best practices.
• Resolve design problems, which may include field investigations or inspections, detailed design work, and detailed checking of design computations done by others.
