Job description

Position Overview:
The Cambria Hotel Lake Placid is seeking energetic and outgoing people to operate our waterfront kiosk and dock operations. This is a great opportunity to be able to help visitors to the hotel have an amazing time enjoying Lake Placid while staying active and enjoying the outdoors yourself this summer!

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Safety and Security:Monitoring and maintaining the safety of the waterfront area, including docks, boats, and equipment.
  • Customer Service:Signing out and assisting patrons with equipment operation, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintenance:Inspecting facilities, making minor repairs, and maintaining cleanliness of the area.
  • Boat Handling:Assisting with launching, docking, and securing boats including Kayak's, Paddle Boards and Paddle Boats.
  • Record Keeping:Maintaining records of vessel arrivals, departures, and other relevant information.
  • Kiosk Sales: Operating Point of Sales register and selling items such as ice cream bars, sundries, and beverages.
  • Equipment Operation:Operating various tools and equipment related to waterfront activities.
  • Enforcement of Rules:Ensuring patrons follow safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
