Camp Mah-Kee-Nac is seeking a Waterfront Director to lead the lake-based waterfront program, ensuring safe operations, staffing, and daily management of swimming and boating activities. The role requires hands-on leadership, boating experience, and knowledge of boat care and ACA/MA regulatory standards.

The director will train and supervise lifeguards, boating instructors, and watersports staff, coordinate boat maintenance, and oversee the inflatable water park while maintaining camper safety

Formación

• Requires strong waterfront leadership and practical boating/sports instruction experience.
• Must supervise staff, ensure safety, and maintain compliance with ACA and MA regulations.
• Current lifeguard certification with waterfront training, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and First Aid.

Responsabilidades

• Establish waterfront safety procedures per MA DPH, ACA standards, and certifications.
• Train, supervise, schedule, and evaluate lifeguards, instructors, and watersports staff.
• Oversee operation of motorized boats for waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing, and fishing, including staff training and supervision.
• Coordinate daily boat inspections, fueling, maintenance, and equipment storage.
• In charge of the lake’s inflatable water park, including inspections and safety oversight.
• Plan engaging swimming, boating, and watersports sessions and coordinate daily activity rotations.
• Lead pre-season setup and post-season breakdown of docks, boundaries, and equipment.
