The Town of Concord is seeking Waterfront Lifeguards for its Summer Recreation program at White Pond. Candidates will ensure the safety of patrons while enforcing pool rules and serving as first responders during emergencies. This position requires certification as a lifeguard and the ability to work various shifts during the summer season.
Waterfront Lifeguard
Concord Recreation is seeking Lifeguards for its Waterfront program at White Pond. Lifeguards work under the direct supervision of the Aquatics Manager to safeguard all patrons from drowning and other accidents. They are responsible for constant patron surveillance of their assigned area and enforcement of recreational rules and regulations established by the Town of Concord Recreation Division. In addition, waterfront lifeguards must practice preventative lifeguarding, keep themselves physically fit and mentally aware, maintain and operate safety equipment, administer first-aid as required, and render aid necessary to rescue and resuscitate near drowning victims. Lifeguards also assist in the cleaning, security, and maintenance of White Pond properties on and adjacent to beach areas.
Schedule varies with shifts: Morning 9:30-2:30, Mid Afternoon 12:30-5:00 and 1:00- 6:00PM and Evening 2:30-7:30 and set by Aquatics Manager, from May 24 – August 17, 2025. Pay range: $15.75 - $20.00 per hour; starting pay based upon qualifications and experience. Must be able to work minimum 3 shifts per week up to a max of 40 hours.

Appointment of the final candidate will be contingent upon the results of pre-placement conditions including CORI and SORI checks. Costs of these pre-placement requirements will be borne by the Town.

Must be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. Balancing, crouching, grasping, pulling, reaching and stooping may also be required.
