Job summary

Civilworks is seeking a Waterfront Engineer to lead design, analysis, permitting, and construction support for coastal and inland waterfront facilities. You will work with civil engineers, surveyors, regulators, and contractors to deliver practical, cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural/Coastal Engineering, 5+ years of waterfront experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and analysis tools. Travel between NH and ME offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural/Coastal engineering or related field.
• Design experience with timber, steel and reinforced concrete.
• PE license preferred; EIT designation required if not licensed.

Responsibilities

• Design waterfront and marine infrastructure such as piers, docks, seawalls.
• Prepare plans, specs, calculations, and construction documents.
• Perform structural, geotechnical, and wave analyses.
• Conduct site inspections and field investigations.
• Coordinate permitting with local, state, and federal agencies.
• Develop project estimates, reports, and feasibility studies.
• Mentor junior staff and support BD efforts.
