The role focuses on civil/waterfront projects across the Great Lakes region, with responsibilities spanning project management, regulatory permitting, field data, and technical analyses. The ideal candidate holds a civil/coastal/marine/geotechnical degree, 4+ years of experience, strong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills, and may pursue EIT/PE licensure.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, coastal or marine engineering, geotechnical; Master’s degree a plus
• Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
• Coastal science/engineering coursework preferred but not required
• Strong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills
• EIT or PE preferred or ability to obtain

GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager to join our Waterfront Engineering team. This is a full-time position that will be located in one of our Oak Brook, Chicago (IL) or Brookfield, Milwaukee (WI) office locations.

Job Description

The ideal candidate is a Civil Engineer with a strong interest in Waterfront Engineering projects across the Great Lakes Region. Projects include shoreline and beach protection, site development, living shorelines, utilities, stormwater, coastal bluff slope and toe protection, dredging and various other coastal projects.

The base salary for this position may range between $90,000 and $115,000. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
