A restoration company in Schaumburg is seeking a Water/Fire/Mold Restoration Technician. This role involves responding to service calls, performing cleanup and restoration tasks, and communicating closely with the crew chief to ensure customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience in cleaning/restoration, and must possess a high school diploma or GED. Qualifications

• Effective oral communication skills are essential.
• Previous experience in cleaning or restoration is preferred.

• IICRC certifications are a bonus.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls for flooded homes and businesses.
• Perform assigned services following company guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with the crew chief.
• Prepare areas for work activities in affected locations.
• Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies.
• Prepare rooms/areas for work activities in homes and businesses that have experienced flooding, fires, and mold.
• Set up staging area and equipment for each project.
• Leave job with a clean and orderly appearance.
• Perform production processes following SERVPRO guidelines per work order and crew chief directions.
• Ensure clear two-way communication with crew chief and other technicians regarding customer needs.
• Perform end-of-day cleanup and breakdown to leave site neat.
• Follow safety and risk management guidelines on site, in the office, and while traveling.

Job Description

Respond to service calls for flooded homes and businesses as needed. Perform services as assigned, following SERVPRO® production guidelines. Communicate with the crew chief to make sure all customer needs are met. Support crew chief and other production personnel, as needed.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights.
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces under buildings).
• Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects.
