Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain a valid State of Alaska Commercial Driver's License within one year of hire.
• Capable of obtaining ADEC certifications within eight years.
• Experience in diagnosing mechanical failures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on water and wastewater utility infrastructure.
• Repair fire hydrants, gate valves, lift stations, pumps, and motors.
• Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting.

Skills

Knowledge of basic electrical principles

Experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting

Ability to operate heavy equipment

Understanding of safety precautions in mechanical trade
