Job description

BGE, Inc will hire a Project Manager up to a Sr PM to lead the design and engineering efforts of Water/Wastewater Treatment Facility Plants. You can work out of one of our Austin, TX offices: South Austin (Directors Blvd) or North Austin (Louis Henna Blvd).

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to the leadership of our emerging engineers in high performance operational and technical procedures.
• Engage in relationship building and community involvement.
• Participate in regional, state and/or national engineering societies, with sponsorship for continuing relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Registered PE in Texas required or can be acquired through reciprocity within 6 months of hire.
• 5-10 years experience working in public works and/or municipal services projects.
• Previous project management (or right-hand PE in task lead role to PM) experience in water/wastewater treatment facilities (biological treatment systems, membrane treatment facilities, pump stations, and piping design).

Job Qualifications

• Perform project management work on a variety of civil engineering projects related to water and wastewater systems including modeling, pipeline, lift stations, and pump stations facilities.
• Oversee the performance of multiple project managers and/or engineers and their teams.
• Perform, coordinate and oversee the completion of various engineering tasks by technical staff and subconsultants.
• Lead project teams across simultaneous assignments.
• Supervise and mentor engineers, designers, and technicians.
• Manage the quality, timeliness, and financial aspects of projects.
• Serve as point of contact for clients.
• Partner with senior staff in developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Lead or support the development of project pursuits, proposals, and interviews.
