Job summary

Inframark is hiring a Water-Wastewater Treatment Operator in Roswell, GA. You will monitor and operate treatment systems, collect samples, perform tests, and document data to ensure safety and regulatory compliance. This role supports 24/7 operations with 12-hour shifts, and licensed operators are encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, valid license, and preferred water/wastewater certification or willingness to obtain one. CDL may be required for some sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in biology, chemistry, environmental science or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred for some locations.
• State water or wastewater license/certification is highly preferred, or willingness to obtain quickly.
• Water/wastewater experience preferred; SCADA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor pumps, valves, motors, disinfection systems and other treatment equipment for safe, efficient operations.
• Inspect equipment, collect samples, perform routine testing, and conduct basic lab analyses to support water quality and regulatory compliance.
• Record and maintain accurate data on flow rates, chemical usage, equipment performance, and daily activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting to improve system reliability and reduce downtime.
• Respond to operational issues and emergency calls to restore service.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment following procedures and standards.
• Follow all safety policies, regulations, and operating procedures to protect employees, customers, and communities.

Working alongside an experienced team, you'll monitor equipment, perform inspections, collect samples, complete routine maintenance, and respond to operational needs to keep essential systems running reliably. We are currently hiring Licensed Operators in the Roswell, GAarea. The starting hourly pay is based on experience and can be negotiated with enough industry experience.

Work Schedule: Our plants run 24/7, and our operators work 12-hour shifts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Inspect equipment, collect samples, perform routine testing, and complete basic laboratory analyses to support water quality and regulatory compliance.
• Record and maintain accurate operational data, including flow rates, chemical usage, equipment performance, and daily treatment activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and assist with troubleshooting and repairing equipment to improve system reliability and minimize downtime.
• Respond promptly to operational issues and emergency call‑outs to help restore equipment and maintain uninterrupted service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety‑focused work environment by following established housekeeping and operational standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures to help protect employees, customers, and the communities we serve.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High school diploma or GED required. Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related study is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required (CDL preferred for some locations).
• Valid state water or wastewater license/certification is highly preferred, or need to be willing to obtain one quickly upon hire.
• Previous water or wastewater experience is highly preferred.
• Experience and knowledge with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems is preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts, and participate in an on‑call schedule as needed.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, work in confined spaces, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
