CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Water/Wastewater Structural Engineer to join our Infrastructure - Water Team at any of the following office locations: Winter Springs, FL, Tampa, FL, Miami, FL, Winter Haven, FL, Blacksburg, VA or working remotely.

Clean and safe water and wastewater management is vital for every community's well-being. CHA delivers environmentally friendly and cost-effective water, wastewater and stormwater projects, handling every step from assessment to planning and design in these critical situations.

The Water/Wastewater Structural Engineer, a key role at CHA, leads the technical execution of projects within his/her discipline and provides expert consultation in one or more areas of the respective field of engineering. At CHA, our Water/Wastewater Structural Engineer plans, schedules, conducts and coordinates detailed phases of a project independently with other engineering disciplines and project management staff. This key role provides guidance, mentorship, and technical review of work completed by junior level staff. The professional in this role provides technical development of proposals and external presentations (i.e., clients, public, regulatory agency, etc.)

The Water/Wastewater Structural Engineer resolves highly complex technical issues and continuously monitors the progress and performance on a project to ensure efficient production and uncover potential problems. This individual recognizes technical discrepancies in analytical results and makes appropriate corrections following standard procedures and recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of design.

REQUIREMENTS




    Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering required
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) required
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience is required
  • Expert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline(s) with a proven ability to practically apply best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Understands QA/QC procedures and understands basic business practices and laws related to engineering
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and effectively work in a collaborative environment; proven ability to lead a team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • Active role in a professional engineering society/organization preferred





SALARY RANGE:




$108,000 - $124,500

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
