Job description

STV's Georgia locations (Atlanta, Duluth, or Acworth) are seeking a Water/Wastewater Senior Engineer for our Water Practice Group. STV specializes in planning, organizing, and developing engineering activities for the construction and maintenance of water and wastewater facilities.

Our engineers work on high-quality, high-profile, national, and international projects. As a Senior Engineer, you will participate in the full project cycle, from design through final construction close-out, performing design engineering tasks to support project execution and delivery of water and wastewater projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Producing contract documents, including plans and specifications.
• Performing pipeline hydraulic flow and pressure calculations.
• Performing pump calculations and developing system curves for pump sizing.
• Preparing construction and design cost estimates.
• Planning and designing water and wastewater pipelines, pumping, storage, and treatment systems.
• Project management, client interaction, and business development (willingness to learn if not already experienced).
• Making site visits during design and construction to observe installation.
• Reviewing construction shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design documents.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university or NCEES equivalent; MS preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with water and wastewater systems.
• Experience working with local municipalities and utility companies.
• GA PE License is required.
• Effective communication skills with other design disciplines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with water/wastewater treatment and pumping facilities design is preferred.
• Familiarity with modeling and design software is a plus.

Compensation Range: $106,908.24 - $142,544.33
