Job summary

MWH Constructors seeks an experienced Quality Control Engineer to support a $2+ billion, multi-year project near Portland, OR. You will coordinate the Quality Management System, verify project work against standards, and collaborate with internal teams to uphold high quality across deliverables.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent construction experience, 3+ years in inspection, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in inspection or construction.
• Knowledge of quality control programs and standards.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work with multiple project teams across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Understand project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Monitor construction quality and support day‑to‑day activities of the Quality Management System.
• Assist project teams with site‑specific quality plans.
• Coordinate, schedule, perform, and document quality inspections; verify work complies with permits, codes, drawings, and specs.
• Create piping and equipment testing plans.
• Troubleshoot with engineering on constructability issues and provide input for solutions.
• Provide quality expertise in addressing compliance issues and regulatory standards.
• Report KPIs to drive continuous quality improvement on the project.
• Coach site staff on quality reporting and trend monitoring.
