Job summary

A respected engineering firm in Missoula, Montana is seeking a Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer - Project Manager to join its team. This position involves leading crucial water and wastewater projects which are vital for community development and sustainability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering design and significant project management skills. Competitive compensation includes a base salary of $80,000 - $135,000 DOE, along with generous benefits including health insurance and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in civil engineering design and construction, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification required; PE license preferred or obtainable post-hire.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports for water/wastewater systems.
• Lead design efforts using Civil 3D or similar software platforms.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client communications.
• Provide construction support, including site visits and field observation.
• Ensure compliance with funding and regulatory requirements.
• Recommend improvements to meet local, state, and federal standards.
• Collaborate with community members and agencies.
