Job summary

AE2S is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager in Boise, Idaho. Lead planning, design, and execution of critical water and wastewater initiatives, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging clients and stakeholders to deliver sustainable infrastructure solutions.

The role emphasizes project leadership, business development, and ensuring public health and environmental protection while maintaining budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience in water treatment process design.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel for project/client responsibilities and business development.
• Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project teams.
• Pre-employment onboarding requirements may include background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive leadership and engineering solutions by developing and implementing business development strategies to drive local growth that aligns with strategic goals.
• Provide professional services for water/wastewater engineering projects including planning, study, design, and construction administration on related treatment projects.
• Manage performance of assigned project team members including Project Engineers, Junior Engineers, and Technicians.
• Maintain existing client relationships and develop relationships with prospective/new clients.
• Identify, evaluate, pursue, and manage project opportunities.
• Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work.
• Maintain budgets and schedules of project assignments.
• Coordinate, facilitate, and attend internal and external meetings.

AE2S is seeking a dynamic and experienced engineer to be our Water/Wastewater Project Manager to provide extreme client service, oversee the planning, design, and execution of critical water and wastewater initiatives. In this role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and stakeholders, and drive innovative engineering solutions that protect public health and the environment.

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Experience in water treatment process design
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to travel as required for project/client responsibilities and business development
• Ability to work remotely and manage projects, clients, and project team members

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field
• 8+ years water or wastewater consulting experience in Idaho
• Prior project management experience
• Proven client relationships and an interest in business development
• Knowledge of Idaho design standards and permitting
• Knowledge of Idaho funding programs

Physical Qualifications

• Ability to walk up to 3-miles on uneven terrain
• Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
• Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
• Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
• May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
• May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
• May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town
