Kokosing is seeking a Project Engineer for Water/Wastewater construction in the Mid-Atlantic, open to candidates in the DC, Maryland, Virginia markets. The role emphasizes onsite engineering leadership for water and wastewater projects. Applicants should have a B.S.

in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years of construction engineering experience; bridge work is a plus. PE registration is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years of construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.
• PE registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage onsite construction engineering activities for Water/Wastewater projects.
• Ensure engineering activities align with schedule and contract requirements.
• Provide technical support in design, construction methods, and resolving design conflicts.
• Develop and administer submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, and pay requests.
• Represent company in A/E, client, and project management meetings.
• Interface on-site departments to resolve problems and maintain schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction, design-build, and business development for the project.
• Perform assignments per supervisor's direction.
