Job summary

Kokosing, a leading General Contractor, seeks a Project Engineer (Water/Wastewater construction) to join the Mid-Atlantic team onsite in the DC/MD/VA markets. The role supports on-site engineering activities for water and wastewater projects and collaborates across design, planning, and field teams.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Eng/Construction Mgmt background with 5+ years of construction engineering experience, and bridge experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
5+ years of construction engineering experience.
Bridge experience is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Plan and manage onsite construction engineering activities for Water/Wastewater projects.
Oversee project engineering, personnel planning, and assignments.
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and support schedules (Primavera P6).
Provide technical support during planning, design, and construction execution; resolve conflicts.
Develop and administer project engineering procedures (submittals, RFIs, expediting, pay requests).
Represent company in meetings with clients and A/E and project management.
Interface with on-site departments to resolve issues and maintain schedule.
Oversee pre-construction, design-build services, and business development for the project.
