Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer in Hawaii. The role offers base responsibilities including design of water infrastructure, site development, and construction support, with opportunities to supervise junior engineers and manage small to mid-sized projects.

Based in Honolulu or Maui, you will collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver sustainable water solutions and support public health objectives across communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 4+ years' experience designing water and wastewater projects.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering analyses and design for water and wastewater projects.
• Work on design of site development and water infrastructure systems, including plans, specs & estimates.
• Prepare preliminary engineering reports or studies and perform calculations.
• Conduct site visits and assist during construction with submittals and RFI reviews.
• Lead small/medium projects as needed and mentor junior engineers.
